Exporting Archived Emails
BT is constantly evolving. Embedded technologies and concepts will be completely phased out and replaced within just a few years. Technology providers may become victims of economic crises or cease product development for other reasons. In this context, it is difficult to retain information that will still be useful after more than ten years.
As a result, MailStore Server does not restrict businesses to a specific file format. All archived emails can be exported in one single step at any time, for example, in the standard RFC 822 format, which has been proven over a period of more than 30 years. Cryptographic signatures can be added to the exported emails to prevent tampering, even outside of the archive.
Thus, long-term technological independence is ensured, even from MailStore Server itself.
Alternatively, users can always restore emails from the archive back to normal mailboxes with a single mouse click. With MailStore Server, the administrator no longer needs to go through a time-consuming process to recover lost emails from the backup.
