System Architecture

The TMG7800 utilizes a scalable building-block approach, allowing carriers to configure a single system from 16 to 1,024 T1/E1 lines, 1 to 48 DS3 lines, or 1 to 16 OC3/STM-1 lines per cluster. A single TMG7800 system can control up to 4 clusters, creating a non-blocking switch for up to 131,072 channels.

N+1 Patch Panel TDM facility protection group for up to 15 telecom units.

Interfaces and Capacity

PSTN Interfaces

Fax/Modem/Data Support:

  • T.38 fax relay (V.17 and V.34).

DTMF Relay:

SIGTRAN
